This iPod features a slim contoured and classy design with an aluminium backing. It has a similar overall design of the predecessor but features a better quality screen. This device now contains a built in loud-speaker, allowing music and video playback without the need of headphones. The device also has a built in accelerometer, allowing the device to switch from portrait mode to landscape mode and vice versa seamlessly.

The device once again is only available in black colour with the silver rear backing. Features a home button, volume keys and the power button as hardware buttons. The device is capable of downloading apps from the Apple app store as well as surfing the web via Wi-Fi.
