Preordered Call of Duty Ghosts for an next gen console?

If you have preordered a copy of Call of Duty Ghosts for the PS4 or Xbox One, you may be getting your hands on the game earlier than expected!

Amazon have recently updated their listing for the game and changed the release date for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game to November 5 2013. The Amazon listing for Call of Duty Ghosts can be found here: Call of Duty Next Gen Amazon

Originally the game was expected to be released on the launch day of either console (depending on which platform you choose). However it now looks like Activision has allowed these games to be made available earlier than expected.

I don’t understand the clear reasoning behind it, since if you do get the copy early the only thing you could do is sit and stare at the disc anyway. Or if your feeling really desperate you could try popping it into your PS3 or Xbox 360 and cross your fingers! (don’t try this at home). Then again if you really were that desperate I guess the £10/$10 upgrade deal would appeal to you in order to get those 2 extra weeks of Call of Duty.

Price increase for Call of Duty Ghosts

I did however notice the price to be updated on the game as well, not sure when this took place but originally I found the game much cheaper! I also had a £25.00 Amazon voucher so the game only cost me £19.00, I guess demand might be rising due to the imminent release of the game hence the price increase.

I hope the early release of the game meant that there were no crazy bugs to me found in Call of Duty Ghosts or else they might look a little silly wasting the few extra weeks they had to polish the game, I guess there will always be next gen patches to come to the rescue!

So what do you think guys? Is it a silly move releasing the game early? Or a great way to increase sales by giving it to the gamers earlier? Let us know in the comments section below!
